Reading the Body. Understanding Trauma. Transforming Patterns. Monthly Case Studies & Practitioner Mentorship with Mihael Mamychshvili What if the symptoms we see in our clients are only part of the story?

Behind chronic tension, recurring pain, emotional patterns, and difficulties with connection, there may be deeper protective strategies that the body and nervous system have developed in response to life experiences.
As practitioners, we are often trained to focus on symptoms, structures, and techniques. But what happens when we begin to recognize the person beneath the symptoms — the protective intelligence behind their patterns, and the possibilities that emerge when we understand what their body is communicating?
Welcome to the NeuroPath Reset Clinical Mentorship, an ongoing monthly gathering for practitioners who want to deepen their understanding of trauma, explore complex cases, and develop a more integrated, intuitive, and embodied approach to their work.
Through case studies, clinical discussion, the wisdom of the Five Elements, and the NeuroPath Reset framework, we will explore how protective patterns manifest through the body, emotions, behaviour, and relationships.
This is an opportunity to move beyond simply treating symptoms and begin asking better questions.
What is this pattern protecting? What does the body need? And how can we create the conditions for something new to emerge?
We begin by exploring the Five Elements of Traditional Chinese Medicine — Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water — through the lens of trauma, protective patterns, and embodied experience.
Each Element offers a different perspective on how we respond to life, navigate relationships, meet challenges, and protect ourselves when we feel threatened or overwhelmed.
Together, we will investigate five archetypal protective patterns:
WOOD — THE CONTROLLER
When the need for direction, autonomy, and safety becomes rigidity, frustration, or the need to control.
FIRE — THE PERFORMER
When the need for connection and belonging becomes people-pleasing, emotional intensity, or a constant search for validation.
EARTH — THE CARETAKER
When nurturing others becomes over-giving, worry, and the difficulty of recognizing our own needs.
METAL — THE PERFECTIONIST
When the need for integrity and order becomes self-criticism, perfectionism, withdrawal, or difficulty letting go.
WATER — THE SURVIVOR
When the need for safety becomes fear, avoidance, withdrawal, or the tendency to hold back from life.
These are not fixed personality types or diagnostic categories. They are exploratory clinical lenses through which we can begin to recognize protective strategies and understand how they may change according to a person's experiences and circumstances.
The deeper question is not simply which Element a person expresses, but what their protective pattern is trying to achieve, how it is embodied, and what might help create new possibilities.
Each monthly mentorship will centre on clinical learning, case studies, and practical application.
1. Reading the Patterns Beneath the Symptoms
Learn to look beyond the presenting complaint and explore the emotional, behavioural, relational, and physical patterns that may contribute to a client's experience.
2. The Five Elements Through a Trauma-Informed Lens
Explore the relationship between the Five Elements, their traditional emotional associations, and the ways protective strategies may manifest in everyday life and clinical practice.
3. The Body as a Map of Experience
Investigate posture, breathing, movement, muscular tension, bodily holding, and other observable responses as part of a broader clinical picture — without assuming that any single physical sign reveals a person's trauma history.
4. Case Studies & Clinical Reasoning
Examine cases, discuss different interpretations, challenge assumptions, and develop a more nuanced understanding of the people we work with.
5. Bringing the Work into Practice
Explore how Shiatsu, touch, movement, awareness, and nervous-system-informed approaches may support clients in developing greater flexibility, self-awareness, and new responses to familiar situations.
6. The Practitioner as an Instrument of Change
Reflect on our own patterns, assumptions, and responses as practitioners. Deepening our awareness can help us meet clients with greater curiosity, presence, and respect for their individual experiences.
This mentorship draws on the principles of the NeuroPath Reset Method, integrating my experience in Shiatsu, Traditional Chinese Medicine, bodywork, trauma-informed practice, and the exploration of protective patterns.
Our work is guided by five interconnected principles/stages:
REALIGN — Recognize the pattern and develop a clearer understanding of what is happening.
RESET — Explore opportunities for new experiences of movement, awareness, and regulation.
RELEASE — Investigate how habitual protective responses may soften or change when conditions support it.
RESILIENCE — Develop greater flexibility and capacity to respond to life's challenges.
RE-INTEGRATION — Bring new awareness and possibilities into everyday life and relationships.
These stages offer a framework for reflection and clinical exploration rather than a rigid sequence that every client must follow.
This mentorship is designed for practitioners who want to deepen their understanding of the relationship between trauma, the body, and human behaviour.
It may be particularly valuable for:
Shiatsu practitioners and teachers.
Registered Massage Therapists.
Manual osteopaths and bodyworkers.
Physiotherapists and movement practitioners.
Acupuncturists and Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioners.
Integrative therapists working with chronic pain, stress, and complex presentations.
Whether you are an experienced practitioner or developing your clinical approach, you are invited to bring your curiosity, your questions, and your willingness to look beyond familiar explanations.
The NeuroPath Reset Clinical Mentorship is an opportunity to learn together, exchange perspectives, and build meaningful connections across disciplines.
Rather than simply receiving information, you will be invited to participate in clinical discussions, reflect on real-world challenges, and consider how different approaches can inform your work.
Our intention is to cultivate a community where practitioners can question, explore, share knowledge, and continue developing their craft.
You do not need to have all the answers. You need the willingness to keep asking better questions.
I have spent more than 25 years working with people experiencing chronic pain, trauma, and the physical and emotional challenges that shape their lives.
Through my work as a Shiatsu practitioner, teacher, and creator of the NeuroPath Reset Method, I have continued to explore the relationship between the body, the nervous system, lived experience, and our capacity for change.
My approach has evolved through years of clinical practice, teaching, and working with practitioners from different countries and disciplines.
I believe that when we learn to recognize the intelligence behind a person's protective patterns, we can approach their difficulties with greater understanding and open up new possibilities for change.
This mentorship is an opportunity to share that experience, explore challenging cases together, and support practitioners in developing a deeper relationship with their work.
One gathering each month. One deeper exploration. A community committed to learning and growth.
Come explore the patterns beneath the symptoms, deepen your clinical understanding, and discover new ways of seeing the people who come to you for help.

Testimonials:
“Hello Mihael, I wanted to take the time to deeply thank you for the online training on trauma. I have watched it several times, and with each viewing, I was completely immersed with the students, as if I were truly among them. I felt every emotion, every exchange, and it was an incredibly enriching experience.
Since then, I have been able to put the method taught into practice, and I am amazed by the results. I already knew the importance of the psoas and the diaphragm, which I work on in every Shiatsu session, but never with this depth and dimension. This training allowed me to truly understand everything they can carry with our personal histories.
Today, I work differently. I take the time to explain to my clients the role of their psoas and diaphragm, to work gently, and most importantly, with their "permission."

“I’ve been practicing Shiatsu for over 12 years here in Vienna, and I thought I understood the body. But this work completely shifted my perspective. I realized I was still working on the surface of my clients’ pain.
Module 2 helped me see the deeper trauma patterns — not just physically, but emotionally and energetically. For the first time, I feel like I can truly meet my clients where they are, without forcing a result. The changes in my treatments have been profound — and my clients feel it immediately.”
— Anna K., Shiatsu Practitioner, Vienna
“J’ai suivi de nombreuses formations en thérapie corporelle, mais rien ne m’a touchée à ce niveau-là.
What stands out is the depth. You’re not just taught what to do, but how to think, how to perceive, and how to hold space at a completely different level.
It’s challenged me, stretched me, and ultimately made me a far more effective practitioner.”
— David L., Osteopath, London
